• My child likes her MAG365 Kids ice-cold. Can I mix it with hot water and then cool it in the fridge for serving later?
MAG365 Kids is good for very young kids and also for teenagers. You just need to adjust the dosage to the age/weight of the child. However, if you have a teenager, you could choose a grown-up version of magnesium like MAG365BF. To arrive at the right daily dosage of magnesium citrate for your child start small, maybe with ½ tsp a day, and slowly increase the dosage until the child’s bowels are comfortably loose.
We do not use sugar at all. MAG365 Kids is sweetened with steviol glycoside, a compound derived from the stevia leaf. MAG365 Passion Fruit is naturally flavoured with exotic flavours of passion fruit.

Dietary calcium is usually sufficient for most kids. However, children often are very picky eaters! MAG365 Kids is designed as a ‘complete’ supplement for kids, which is why we felt the need to add calcium. MAG365 Kids formula also includes the cofactors needed for optimal assimilation of calcium. These cofactors ensure that the minerals that the developing child consumes are directed to the areas that need them most—bones and teeth. If you want to use a formula without calcium, you can opt for MAG365BF.
Magnesium supplementation is highly effective in children exhibiting symptoms of ADHD. Many studies show that magnesium helps to relax children and adults diagnosed with ADHD. MAG365 Kids is excellent for kids who get stressed easily and are unable to sleep. Magnesium is proven to help manage stress and ensure quality sleep. If stress affects your child during the day, you can divide the daily recommended dose into two: once in the morning and once before bed. This will ensure maximum absorption and provide you child the benefit of magnesium throughout the day. For children who can take capsules, you can try supplementing with PrizMAG pure magnesium bisglycinate at night. MAG365 Kids can be mixed with juice, but you have to activate it first. Put the amount of Mag365 you normally give to your child (or follow the instructions on the bottle) into a mug and add boiling water. Allow the fizzing to stop and the powder to dissolve completely. The magnesium in the solution is activated when the solution is clean, at this point you can add juice to the solution.
You can also add MAG365 Kids directly to the juice, but then you need to give the mixture about 20 minutes to get fully activated (ionized) before serving it. This 20-minute wait is critical to allow the magnesium to finish ionizing. If you miss this step, the magnesium will react with the warm environment in your child’s stomach. It will bubble and fizz causing discomfort.

Both hot and cold water can be used to activate MAG365. The key difference is time. Hot water will activate it almost immediately, whereas you need to give the solution about 20 minutes of waiting time when you use cold water. The solution is activated once the fizzing stops (when using hot water) and the liquid goes from cloudy to clear. Once you have activated the magnesium, we recommend consuming the drink within 48 hours. After that, MAG365 starts to lose some of its ionic properties, it remains effective, but not as bioavailable.
If your child does not like to have MAG365 as a drink, try adding it to a smoothie AFTER activating the magnesium. You can also make a magnesium gel by mixing magnesium with water, then adding chia seeds in a ratio of approximately 1-part chia seeds to 6-parts water. The jelly-like substance that you get mixes very well with yoghurt, desserts, oatmeal, etc. This also brings to your child the added benefit of Chia seeds, which have a very high nutritional content including fibre, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, protein and Omega-3 Fatty Acids!
