Ribose is a unique 5-carbon sugar. It occurs naturally in all living cells and forms the carbohydrate portion of RNA and DNA. Pomegranate is a fruit that is know for its excellent antioxidant properties. In fact, it has about three times more antioxidants ounce for ounce than does red wine or green tea. It is very important to obtain the right pomegranates, at the optimal harvesting stage, handled with the best quality controls with rigorous testing to ensure that the extract from the fruit delivers. For this reason we chose to use an extract from Pomella to put into our NutraRev. We are very excited about the antioxidant properties of the pomeganate extract produced by Pomella.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is used to help burn unwanted fat into energy and to help assist you to have a healthy heart.

Alpha lipoic acid is a fatty acid that is needed by the body to give it energy and can be found naturally inside every cell in the body. Alpha lipoic acid converts glucose (your blood sugar) into energy. Alpha lipoic acid is also an antioxidant and what makes alpha lipoic acid unique is that it functions in water and fat, unlike the more common antioxidants vitamins C and E. It also seems to rejuvenate your other antioxidants such as vitamin C and glutathione after they have been used up. Alpha lipoic acid increases the formation of glutathione. Glutathione is an other important antioxidant.

Alpha lipoic acid is made by the body. It can be found in very tiny amounts in foods such as broccoli, spinach, brussel sprouts, peas, rice bran, Brewer's yeast, and organ meats. We add Alph lipoic acid to NutraRev for its dual purpose; as an antioxidant and energy booster.
